A full transcript of a deed.s Vol 574 308013 dated 1805
To the Register appointed by Act of Parliament for Registering Deeds and so forth a memorial of an indenture being a Grant of an annuity or rent change bearing date the 10th day of October 1805 and made between Richard Wolfe of Beanhill in the County of Cork (Gent) of the one part and Thomas Wolfe of Clonakilty in said County (Shoemaker) of the other part whereby after reciting as therein is recited the said Richard Wolfe in consideration of the sum of 250 stg. to him in hand paid by the said Thomas Wolfe. He the said Richard Wolfe did grant bargain sell assign align and confirm unto the said Thomas Wolfe his heirs and assigns one annually or clear yearly rent charge or sum of 50 of lawful money of Great Britain to hold to him for the time of five years from 29th of September then last ? to be issuing and payable out of all that the lands and premises containing? called I know by the name of Knockapouery situate in the Barony of East Carbery Co Cork aforesaid is formerly in the possession of Richard Wolfe of Beanhill in the said County farmer ? father to said Richard Wolfe party to said indenture and demise to him by same Sampson Stawell of Knockapenny in the County of Cork (Esq) by lease bearing date 12 day of May 1773 for the lease of 3 lives and in rerversion?. To hold and enjoy the said annuity of 50 unto the said Thomas Wolfe his executors administrators and assigns during the term of five years aforesaid and clear of all taxes and deductions whatever and payable half yearly on the days and in manner as therein mentioned in which said indenture is contained a clause of distress and of reentry? into possession of said premises where charges and chargeable with the payment of said annuity or rent charge on payment thereof in manner as therein mentioned and a covenant to pay same that said Richard Wolfe had from to grant for 50 stg. aforesaid assurances and is witnessed by Francis Bennett of Clonakilty in County of Cork Esquire and Thomas Wolfe of Clonakilty aforesaid shoemaker 2nd son of said Thomas Wolfe party to said indenture this memorial is also witnessed by said Francis Bennet and Thomas Wolfe Richard Wolfe (seal) signed and sealed in presence of Francis Bennet Thomas Wolfe
The above name Thomas Wolfe maketh oath and saith he is subscribing witness to the indenture of which the above is a memorial and also to the above memorial and saith he saw the said indenture and this memorial duly executed by the parties there to and that the same Thomas Wolfe signed and subscribed to said deed and memorial respectively is deponents proper name and handwriting. Thomas Wolfe sworn before me at Clonakilty in the county of Cork this 10th day of October by virtue of a consideration a commission forth of his Majesty Court of The Exchequer in Ireland to me directed for taking affidavits and I know the deponent

made between (1) Richard Baldwin of Skibbereen and Ursula Baldwin otherwise Jermyn his wife, and William Wolfe of Coolcraheen and Ellen Wolfe otherwise Jermyn his wife, and Mary Jermyn of Coolcraheen and Catherine Jermyn of Clonakilty and Henry Jermyn of Skibbereen gent, and (2) Richard Hungerford of the Island.
Reciting that (1) in Mchaelmas of 1771 filed a bill in the Court of Exchequer against James Wren, Stephen Jermyn a minor son of John Jermyn deceased, John O'Hea, Anne Jermyn otherwise O'Hea widow of the said John Jermyn, Bridger Warner, George Warner, Martha Jermyn, Dennis Fenn sole executor of William Jermyn, Stephen Jermyn and Thomas Warner, setting forth that Stephen Warner late of Tullneasky Co. Cork gent deceased was seized of two plowlands of Tullneasky and the half plowland of Cooleigh by grant of 1740 from Sir Richard Mansell, John Gillman of Curraheen and Simon Warner of Becalod, in consideration of a marriage between the said Stephen Jermyn and Catherine Warner, by whom he had issue John his eldest son, and the said Ursula, Ellen, Mary, Catherine and Henry, and died in August 1763.

Marriage settlement August 13 1825
between William Wolfe of Toomela, gent., and Elizabeth Gillman 2nd daughter of John Gillman of Milane. Other parties = Thomas Hungerford of Cahermore. Thomas Gillman of Milane, John Wolfe of Cooleraheen. This deed cites a lease of Aug 9 1790 between Cornelius Townsend of Drumihilly and William Wolfe the Elder and William Wolfe Jnr, then of Cooleraheen. Also another lease of June 24 1820 between the above William Wolfe and William Wolfe the Elder Coolerheen. Cites the will of Wm Wolfe the Elder of July 25 1822........deals with lands of Cashel.
Notes: Quote from professional genealogist, Thomas O'Leary,
letter Sept 12 1991, to D. Dunn:
" It would appear from this document that William’s father and grandfather were
both named William and from Cooleraheen (in Castleventry civil Parish, West of
Clonakilty). It also appears that William the Elder's will dates from 1822 and deals with
lands of Cashel. This will has not survived the burning of the Public Records Office in
1922"
